Nosipho Spakes Xapile

A beautiful daughter, a loving sister, an amazing friend, Spakes has a unique bubbly personality which many would describe as approachable, kind and easy to get along with. Caring at heart, confident and with a lot of drive, she has an ardour for meeting people, caring for the needy and travelling.

Having a passion for working with brands and communication, Spakes is a B.Com Marketing Management graduate from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and did promotional work throughout her student life. This allowed her entry in the marketing field, practicing the basics of the industry. With plans of hitting the corporate world hard when it is ready for her, Spakes is fulfilling her desire to work with children at the moment, working with the Umzingisi Foundation in Port Elizabeth.

Currently a Project Manager at Umzingisi Foundation, Spakes leads youth development projects based in the townships of Port Elizabeth. Umzingisi is an NGO that focuses on youth development, using sport as a tool to accomplish this. The foundation does this directly by developing the children’s sporting skills on the field, but indirectly as well by developing their life skills using sport-based curricula to encourage the kids to become well-rounded citizens in our country.
