Anastasios Spanos

I’m a Greek – American born in Queens. I’m married and have a beautiful little girl. Thing are a little tight now with the economy but with a loving family everything becomes bearable and you can overcome all obstacles!

I got into computers at the age of 5 when my uncle lent me a computer he had bought. I didn’t know how it worked as it was very different from the magnetic cassette based computers we had at school. I thought I would disassemble it and see how it works. To cut a long story short, my parents were not too happy when they found out and with the help of my computer teacher I put it back together and surprisingly it worked. That’s how I got hooked on computers.

Since then, I had opened my own computer shop in Leros, where I’ve been residing since 1994. The shop mainly focused on IT support and computer sales (hardware, software & peripherals) for home users and small businesses at first. As the demand increased I expanded to computerizing businesses (with various business management software), PBX, alarm systems and CCTV. As the owner of the shop and the only permanent staff, I would do all the sales, repairs, orders, inventory and advertising of the business.
