John Sparkman

John has been a collaborative pianist, church musician, and choral director for over 15 years. Playing piano and organ, singing with and leading choirs, and teaching music are his passions.
John studied piano, organ, and voice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and served congregations in his home state of North Carolina and Indiana before relocating in 2010 to Seattle. He has also played for a wide variety of other events, including musical theatre productions, special celebrations, and weddings.
Weekly piano lessons are available and are offered at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in the Juanita neighborhood at of Kirkland at 10021 NE 124th ST. John teaches beginning and intermediate piano students ages 7 and up. Email John for available time slots, rates, and a half-price introductory lesson.
