Polina Spartyanova

Born and raised in the capital of Bulgaria – Sofia, Polina has a bachelor degree in “Journalism” from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She studied “Communications” abroad at the Stuttgart- Hohenheim University in Germany for a year. In 2012 she specialized for a month in the field of Print and TV Journalism in the IFP school for journalists in Munich, Germany.
For almost three years Polina worked as a correspondent and photographer for the Bulgarian-Greek website GRReporter. In 2014 she went on a reporting trip to Brazil to cover the results from the presidential elections in the country. In 2015 Polina was a scholar of the International Parliamentary Scholarship of the German Bundestag and during this 5 Months she did an internship as a trainee at the office of the deputy Martin Rabanus from the SPD party. Afterwards she was a volunteer at the youth organization "Nautilos, Search and Rescue" based in Nicosia, Cyprus for six months and she was teaching TV Journalism to young Cypriots. At the moment Polina is working as a freelance video maker and photographer, based in Berlin, working on video and photo projects for the website mitmischen.de and the SPD deputies Dagmar Ziegler, Ulrike Bahr and Dr. Bärbel Kofler. She was also a video editor in the first worldwide evaluation platform for beaches, beach-inspector.com and edited a corporate video for HelloFresh.
Polina is bearer of three national rewards for young talents and for achievements in the field of journalism in Bulgaria. In 2015 she was a runner-up in the BSR Clean Clip Contest in Berlin.
