Spas Kalinov
Sofia, Sofia-Capital, Bulgaria
Hello and welcome to my personal about.me webpage! Since you’ve come to this page voluntarily (at least, I hope you did), you probably want to know a bit about me. Well, here are the most important milestones of my life:
I was born on the 9th of January 1995 in the sea capital of Bulgaria – Varna. The city of Varna is where I spent most of my life.
In fifth grade, I got accepted the Dr. Petar Beron High School of Mathematics, where I studied until I graduated high school (which in Bulgaria is in 12th grade). That’s where I met the love of my life – Lucy, and my best friends. Needless to say, Varna will always hold a special space in my heart and I hope that, one day, I will be able to return there.
That last sentence probably raised the question “What do you mean, ‘you hope to return there’?'”. Well, after high school, came the logical continuation of my life – university. In 2014 I got accepted as a Computer Science student at New Bulgarian University in the actual capital of Bulgaria (not the ‘sea’ one) – Sofia. At the end of my junior year I started studying at the Software University – a private academy for practical software development education. I tried to balance the two universities, but soon it became too much.
And so we’ve arrived at the present. Currently (as I’m writing this article), I’ve interrupted my education at NBU, and I’m focused on graduating from the Software University. My plan for the near future is to find a well-payed job as a junior software developer and to save money, so I can start a family with Lucy.
Other than that, I’m pretty ordinary person. I’m a big fan of the fantasy and sci-fi genres, and I enjoy reading a few issues of my favourite superhero comic books every now and again. My greatest passion though are video games – and I hope that, some day, I could start my own video game studio, and do the thing I like the most!
Thank you for reading and I hope you’ll enjoy the things I decide to share with you here!
Sincerely,
