Special Kneads

We are Special Kneads Bakery located in Flagstaff, AZ. We were established as a way to pay our son, Baby Bob’s, medical bills. At our anatomy scan, we were told baby Bob may be missing part of his brain. He was given a clean bill of health, but at his next growth scan, they saw soft markers for Down syndrome and at 32 weeks pregnant, we were told his diagnosis was official. Less than 4 weeks later, at a routine scan, baby Bob was diagnosed with fetal hydrops and given a 50% chance of survival. He was born via emergency c section 6 hours later and spent 31 days in the NICU over 2 hours from our home. He now faces lifelong medical care costs including multiple specialist appointments and requires feeding support.

Our dream with Special Kneads is to grow into a place where we can employ individuals with special needs and create a loving and supportive environment to support other families like ours.

We have good bites for a good cause! Help support us by finding us at local markets or pop up bake sales! We also take pre-orders for pickup every weekend - drop us a line and get some goodies!
