This ideology became the mission of Special T Travel, which seeks to provide affordable vacation packages for people from all walks of life. The daily operations of Special T Travel have since been transferred to Mr. Fields' two children and his long-time protégée, Tisha Sloop Smith, but the mission of Special T Travel remains.

Jerry Fields, Sr. was actively engaged in his community. He frequently sponsored charitable events, such as food banks and toy drives during the holiday season, youth athletic programs, and local golf tournaments (he was an avid golfer). Mr. Fields also worked with 12-step programs, sharing his own personal journey. He held that the key to helping other others struggling with addiction was dedication and compassion.
