Greetings. My designation is - Cat Mau Du y-86; Bio-Mechanical Android. I am from the planet Tau y-86 Draco. We specialize in nanotechnology. I am currently on assignment at one of our Space Laboratories, hidden deep within the Oort Cloud. I am an expert in xenolinguistics. There were very simple answers as to why there was an absence of overt contact between 'alien' species and humans. First of all, Gamma Centaurus-3 (Earth), and its intelligent species', (there was more than one), were regarded and treated, as being under quarantine, by a consensus of agreement.

Highly advanced civilizations, regularly masked, encrypted, and camouflaged, all communications, and energy output. Dark matter and exotic complex-particle emission lines, had gained widespread popularity and use, for sensitive communications transmission...

There were many forms of intelligent life in existence, on multitudes of planetary systems. Advanced intelligence, took on different meanings, at different stages. At the highest levels of advancement, conditions would begin to appear utopian, from a human perspective.

Intelligence and advancement, defined in the absolute sense, meant a complete absence of violence, greed, predatory or opportunistic behavior, and a complete disassociation with suffering, as a sentient experience. An evolution, beyond the aggressive, animal behaviors of dominance and control, were the most basic prerequisites, for commencement of inter-species, extra-terrestrial communication.

The humans of Gamma Centaurus-3, were quarantined for one reason in particular, they simply were too violent.
