Spencer Darrow

Historical Downtown Norfolk, Virginia

Spencer Darrow’s next book... "How That Fun, Part Time Job Became A Career" should debut this spring. Combining a love of tinkering in electronics with a life long commitment to philanthropic service, it is no mystery that Spencer has come full circle to a career at Apple, Inc. Now a full time Family Room Specialist, that love of tinkering and making things work has helped him shine brightly. It is also through his desire to help others that Spencer has a unique ability to mend relationships with people and their technology. Working with diversity and coveting the experiences from it, are a strength that Spencer has gained by serving with many philanthropic organizations. In eight years of service on the board of directors of Access Aids Care, Spencer has also learned the value of believing in the strength of his decisions, and the ability to make an instant yet confident choice should the need arise. In addition, Spencer possesses the understanding that knowledge is only as strong as the manner in which it is conveyed. Whether it is informing the employees of ACCESS about the need for budget cuts, or telling an iPhone owner their device is beyond economic repair, Spencer owns the ability to relay the knowledge in a concise, simple, and understandable level free of jargon.

What does this FRS have a working knowledge of?

Expertise in: Easy Pay, Concierge, iRepair, Apple Store App, One to One website, and GCRM. Furthering his knowledge base is the completion of the GYOG training this week. Spencer is ready to be on the bench for Genius training as positions permit.

Much like the methods used when he restores a vintage computer, Spencer has an understanding that nothing less than the pursuit of perfection will create the best outcome. It is this attention to detail that drives his desire to become part of the Apple Retail software development life cycle
