Today’s Inspiration: 70’s Meets Industrial Chic

Now that, is a look! Behind those retro-themed coke bottle glasses is a fashion inspired little boy. From as long as I can remember, clothing has always been my way of self-expression. My wardrobe is sacred to me, as it contains so many one-of-a-kind pieces that have sentimental value. I use my clothing and my love for fashion as a means of self-exploration. I adore creating new looks and more than often am inspired by people, places, and things around me. Style is more to me than just looking “trendy”, but rather combining different pieces together that truly inspire you to create one cohesive outfit. Everybody has their own unique style, but I believe that people are too afraid to branch out to discover it.

Today, I would classify my style at best as eclectic; however, it was not always this way. As I was growing up, I lived in a strict household and attended private school; therefore, my clothes reflected it. I would dress as prim and proper as I could often wearing non-offensive cuts of shirts and pants with a limited color range. But upon coming to college, I have used my time to explore the realm of fashion. My wardrobe is my expression of individuality in this world flooded with the mundane uniform of just “blending in”. It is more than just fabric threaded together to cover my body, it is my voice—so I must let it be heard.
