I've been writing since I was little. Stories mostly, but in February 2009 I began writing for The Hinton Parklander as an intern journalist because I walked into their downtown office and said something like, "Please let me write for free, I don't have the confidence to ask for money and I'm very impressionable."

My stint there lasted until May 2010. It ended because I got a real job and had to pay for school, but ever since then I've missed writing columns. So here I am, three years later, starting a blog because I still don't have the confidence to ask for money.

5 things to know about me:

1. I write songs and have performed them a couple times in front of people, once winning a talent show and another time performing in the Opening Ceremonies of the Alberta Winter Games (2006). Currently I am working on making Youtube videos to demonstrate some of my projects. Stay posted, my website will feature the first music video sometime in the summer.

2. I studied psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC-- but officially I have transferred to the University of Alberta to change it up and pursue a degree in English and Philosphy.

3. I'm the third born son of the third born son of the third born son. I have three brothers and I grew up in a small town, which I still return to so I can visit my parents and Grandma.

4. In October I'm getting married to a total babe.

5. I refuse to write articles that are about weird random things or that waste my readers' time. My hope is that any article you read on my website will add value to your day. Better to have fewer page-veiws who are appreciative of what they read than many page-veiws who simply don't give a crap.
