Raised in Littleton, Colorado, I am currently attending theUniversity of Northern Colorado in Greeley as a double major pursing a B.A. inActing and a B.S. in Marketing. Because of that I spend most of my free time (thelittle I do have) between daydreaming about marketing mixes and memorizing Shakespearethen talking to myself. With these two degrees I am aim to shake up and bringsome excitement to the marketing world. I look to specifically foster a relationshipwith art venues and theatres to help them sell tickets and engage with patronsthrough several channels including social media.
With being a double major, Ihave acquired many personal and time management skills and benefit from havingone foot in the technical, strategic business world and the other in the more artistic andexpressive realm. In my time as a student, I have been very active in the artscommunity and have appeared as a performing artist and actor both locally andin the greater Denver area. I have also held marketing positions with severaltheatres and arts venues in the local area, including acting as the marketingand publicity manager at the nationally praised School of Theatre Arts andDance at UNC. By working in this field I have found success in connectingpeople not only to a product, but to a complete experience, aesthetic, andcommunity. In addition, I have taken these skills I have learned and in Spring2013 help found a theatre company in Greeley, Colorado called SOAPboxProductions where we have taken a very from the ground up, grassroots, guerrilla approach to connect with our audiences. In the past couple of years we havegrown tremendously and have worked with and have been commissioned by severallocal organizations including the City of Greeley, Greeley Chamber of Commerceand the Northern Colorado Philanthropic Foundation.
But most importantly, working within the theatre I have learned and mastered how to truly connect andcommunicate, getting a pulse on what people want and providing them with it. Myfirst job always is to tell a good story. After all, it’s my livelihood. When I’mon stage, my only job is to make the audience FEEL something and I hope to helpothers make THEIR audience feel something as well. I look forward to connectingwith you!
