Spencer Knobloch

My love of DJing started at age 9: I loved the way the music flows and the vocals of one song sync up perfectly with the instrumental version of another song. One day I decided I wanted to be the person behind the turntables.

I enrolled at Scratch Academy and worked my way up the ranks of this amazing school for aspiring DJs (usually the only kid in my class). Learning how to scratch, beatmatch, and slowly building my expertise and my kit until, at age 13, I was ready to do my first gig. It was a fundraiser at my old school, which felt great. I was giving back, and it was the first time I could really see myself in the career I know I was born to have.

Word spread that I was the kid DJ for hire, and more gigs followed (paid ones!). I press a few buttons, match up a few songs, and I can help people have a great time at their party.
