Spike Jackson
I design and build gardens for a living. I love exploring wild and historic landscapes. I photograph textures, especially rust and other forms of decay. I record, research and plant trees. I sing songs from the Georgian Caucasus. I listen to Bach and Berlioz, Mahler and Elbow. My favourite foods are earthy: lentils, chunks of spicy sausage, broad beans and butter beans, spinach and feta cheese, olives and garlic. I live in a beautiful village on the edge of Cambridge, UK, and I cycle whenever I can. My greatest pleasures are my wife's laugh, my son's jokes and my daughter's ability at scrabble. Oh, and the cat's yawn.
