Davina Spillmann is an enthusiastic leader and educational expert with a deep-rooted passion for employing 21st-century learning skills, innovation, and SEL to equip students of all ages with the tools needed for authentic knowledge acquisition. One of Davina's favorite parts of her long-spanning career is building empathetic and powerful student leaders who know how to think critically, overcome obstacles, and persevere in a world that's constantly changing around them.

She most recently served as the Associate Head of School at Park Maitland School, dedicating her expansive knowledge to the incorporation of emerging technologies into the classroom while still honoring the traditions and legacy of the school's foundation. She is also a Google Certified Educator and Apple Teacher. Davina brings 30+ years of educational experience as a teacher and administrator. She has been at Park Maitland School for nearly twenty years. Prior to this, she was the Director of a Huntington Learning Center and AP United States history teacher.

Davina grew up in the Orlando area attending Park Maitland School herself as a student. She attended Tulane University as an undergraduate and later Vanderbilt University's acclaimed Peabody School of Education for her Master's in Education.

Davina has presented at the Orlando Learning Summit, FETC, and Florida Council of Independent Schools annual convention. Davina loves collaborating with staff building a postive work culture, providing relevant professional development and coaching growth mindset teaching and learning.

Davina has been married for over 20 years and has two amazing digital native sons, a sophomore in college and Doctoral student. She is constantly in awe of their skills and abilities.
