Samantha Placek

Hey there! I'm Samantha Placek, a native of O'Fallon, Missouri who loves to writing and art!

I received my undergrad in Political Science, and volunteer for local election campaigns during voting season. I decided to pursue a career in teaching because I love the creativity and drive kids have, and believe that a good teacher should help students find productive and valuable outlets that give them a real voice in their world. Currently I am getting to know my way around the classroom in Practicum I at McCluer North High School. Every day offers an exciting learning experience, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be!

Outside of teaching I'm a lover of science fiction, dogs, video games, politics, and literally any movie with Oscar Isaac in it. I'm learning Spanish and one day hope to travel and maybe even work abroad.
