Hi I’m Sarah, word herder (copywriter) and content strategist at BuzzzHound. While working with hundreds of startups and entrepreneurs and running my own business, I realized that it’s all about telling a great story. Whether you are promoting a cause, selling a product or service, raising capital, or updating your resume it always comes back to telling a compelling and authentic story.
I believe we all have a great story to tell and as a word herder, my first priority is to help you and your organization tell your story to engage your audience. As a content strategist, I make sure your story is communicated effectively and cohesively as part of an ongoing content strategy. I also make sure that your story gains share of voice and plays well with search engines and readers alike.
In addition to my work at BuzzzHound, I proudly serve part-time as a photojournalist in the Idaho Air National Guard and was named “Feature Writer of the Year” by the National Guard Bureau.
A few years back I was appointed class leader in my journalism course at the Defense Information School, Ft. Meade, Maryland. My classmates endearingly referred to as “Big Toe” from an epic quote in the movie Stripes, “An Army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe.” I was proud to be a “Big Toe” for them and I hope I can be the “Big Toe” for you as you tell your unique story.
I’m also an Idaho native with just a smidgen of Lakota Sioux heritage--they were known as great hunters and warriors but I imagine, they were spectacular storytellers as well. I am akin to the outdoors and enjoy camping, snowboarding, fitness and home improvement projects. My heart belongs to my best friend and high school sweetheart Jon and we have a tenacious two-year-old boy that keeps us laughing daily. When I have time, I like to squeeze in some therapeutic crafting or, as I call it, “creative re-purposing.”
