Camal Wilson

My name is Camal (pronounced Cuh-Mall ) Wilson. I was born in Queens, NY and grew up in the Northern Virginia area (Herndon, VA).

I am agraduate (May 2013) of Old Dominion University's Sports Management program, with double minors in Communications and Management.learning and looking to improve myself professionally and personally.

I am currently a special education teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).In addition to teaching, I was an assistant coach and video coordinator for both varsity boys basketball and football. I was also the wide recievers coach for the Freshman football team.

I am persuing a sports career in the following areas: Journalism/Commentary, Facility Management, Front Office/Managerial and player/personnel representative. I am a hungry and tireless worker that will do whatever it takes to achieve my desire to not only make in the sports world, but become a standard bearer/innovator.

In addition to sports, I also have an art background dating back to high school (photoshop, illustrator, posters, fliers, logos). I also have some experience creating music and video as well.

I'm the biggest believer in "It's who you know" and I am very proud and very thankful for my network. I've been blessed to meet and know sports industry greats such as: Buffy Filippel, Tom Rooney, Larry Michael, Carroll "CHud" Hudson and recently Tim Hardaway to name a few. I look forward to a day where I can give back in wisdom, time/money and mentoring as I have been given.
