Hello, friends and future friends, I’m LaDarius Brown and I was born & raised in Florida. I began the Sports & The World podcast on May 11, 2019. Here, you & I can have conversations about how sports connected to the world. I watched guys like Stuart Scott as a kid and remembering how he injected life into sports with his humor and knowledge. Also, watching Letterman hone my conversations while Peter Jennings teaching me to be a professional journalist.

I decided to go to Full Sail University almost two years ago to attain a master’s degree in New Media Journalism to sharpen and develop more in my skillset. My goals are to continuing to build my podcast, write myself into a job, and keep grinding. As this journey winds down, I’ve learned how to become a better journalist, take risks, and put myself out there more to my audience.

Stepping back a bit, I went to college for criminal justice because I was, and still am, fascinated by the law. In 2012, I began my business, Brown’s Tutoring Services. A year later, I graduated with my criminal justice degree but still felt empty. Fast forward to 2016, I decided to get an MBA in Business Administration. In February of 2018, I got it.

Growing up, and still to this day, I’ve loved sports. Whether it’s those Cubbies in Chicago, Dirty Birds in Atlanta, or Sue & Stewie in Seattle, I carry my heart on my sleeve for them, which I’m not sure is healthy but I do it, nonetheless.

Whether it’s sports, music, or everything in-between, I’m all for it. Whether it’s seeing baseball in New York after 9/11 or seeing a game with our friends, sports is the ultimate uniter of people. That’s what I love: unity, along with unity and peace.
