Squeak Lemaire:
Discovered at a local Open Mic Jam Night, a very young Squeak Lemaire displayed spontaneous, yet assertive guitar licks, and a wildly precocious stage presence that could easily appeal to the most seasoned music producer.
Youtube video clips created an instant local buzz. Cafes and market events were keen to book him. Taking in $200 - $300 for a couple of hours was pretty mind-blowing for this 9th grader. This, however, was not enough. He wanted more, even though the reality of “How many venues are going to book a teenager?” was simply an obstacle to overcome.
With the release of his first (Home recorded) CD “COINS & BOTTLES” (5 songs), both the press and the major venues started to take notice.
By the 11th grade, the major venues had managed to book Squeak a few times as a support act for touring bands. They soon realized that this was indeed an undersell.
To make the songs stand out, Squeak was going to need a band. Enter THE MOON BEARS: School mates Sebastian and Riley Jones (Percussion & Guitar) and Max Foggon (Bass). This is where the whole act explodes with excitement. Squeak was now free to fully entertain a hungry sea of fans.
Squeak Lemaire & the Moon Bears, the new album SCARED OF SILENCE, is now the whole package. They have recently completed phase one of their album promotional tour in addition to breaking into the Australian and
international festival circuit.
A dozen plus dates during their last weeks of school totally expanded Squeak’s fan base. Phase 2, and a follow up album in the works, there’s no
stopping him now.
