I am in my late twenties, married, and finishing up college (finally). I don't have any kids and I'm extremely grateful for that because I am in no condition to be a good mother. I have severe anxiety and subsequent depression. I have been to a residential recovery program, a psych unit, psychiatric IOP (intensive out-patient), and therapy. I am blogging as a way to practice reflection and implement CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques.
I am a Bible Christian and believe in keeping all Ten Commandments, including the fourth one. I have a dog named Scooby who has been a great help in my recovery process. I'm a huge advocate of healthy living as an illness preventative and treatment measure, not replacing traditional medicine but certainly decreasing its necessity. I believe a plant based diet, omitting animal products, is the healthiest way to eat. I'm not naturally active or athletic so my biggest struggle is exercise, but darn it I've got to!
I sing, play guitar, cook, spend WAY too much time on Pinterest, and have an obsession with printables and office supplies. I like crafting and sewing, but I just don’t have the knack. Math is my jam and I believe very firmly that anyone can learn it. If I don’t have a blog post about it yet, you just wait!
