Spencer Rascoff

Spencer Rascoff is the Chief Executive Officer at Zillow.com. Spencer joined the company as one of its founding employees in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Marketing and served as its Chief Operating Officer from October 2008 through his promotion to CEO in September 2010. Spencer regularly appears on national broadcast outlets such as CNBC, Bloomberg Television, and Fox News to discuss real estate data and housing trends. Prior to joining Zillow.com, Spencer was Vice President of Lodging for Expedia. In 1999, Spencer co-founded Hotwire.com, a leading Internet travel company, and ran several product lines there before it was acquired by Interactive Corp (parent company of Expedia) in 2003. Before his consumer web career, Spencer was in investment banking and private equity. He worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at Goldman Sachs and also held other positions at TPG Capital, Bear Stearns and Allen & Company. Spencer graduated cum laude from Harvard University, and he serves on Harvard University's Digital Community & Social Networking Advisory Group.
