.I’m Sinazo Rashu I was born and raised in the Eastern Cape Province in a small town called Mthatha. I’m a third year education student at the University of Johannesburg. I specialize in history Sociology which I will teach as Life Orientation and History in school. I chose these two majors because they enable learners to acquire the skill of critical thinking and because they help them with daily challenges that they face in everyday life. I am not an outgoing person but I do enjoy watching movies and reading romantic novels and I also like to listen to music especially old school music. Am a very private person but I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a hard worker and I don’t let anything stand in my way to reach and accomplish my success in regards to my studies.

I chose teaching because I believe that education is the most important thing in life because it gives people skills and tools they need to direct the world. I also believe that it is an opportunity to work with young people and make a difference in their lives. However, I believe that a teacher helps learners to find out about themselves and learn to engage positively with their environment and with their peers. I chose History as my major because I believe that it help learners to understand the origin of modern political and social problems and it also helps them to accept the past so that they will move on with life and to learn from the past mistakes so that they won’t be repeated. I chose Life Orientation because I consider that it encourages learners to be critical thinkers and use their ability and because it deals with everyday issues and challenges.
