Arun Sreenivasan

Arun started his journey in the vast world of Bharata Natyam at the age, 4, under Smt. Shashi Rekha, an exponent of Mysore Bãni. He later gained further insight of this art form under Smt. Gayatri Keshavan of the vintage, Pandanallur. And now, is currently practicing the art from under Vid. Sathyanarayana Raju, a world renowned exponent of Bharata Natyam. Arun has been practising the art-form for about 18 years by date and owes his stand as an exponent to his Guru, Vid. Sathyanarayana Raju. Arun as well has the previlage of imbibing the nuances of dance with extraordinary scholars and choreographers like Vid. B Bhanumati, Vid. Sheela Chandrashekar, Dr. Soundarya Srivatsa, Dr. Karuna Vijayendra, Dr. Choodamani Nandagopal, Vid. Vyjayanti Kashi to name a few.

A Life Sciences’ graduate, his interest in dance motivated him to take-up dance full- time. A rank holder of Masters' degree in Dance at high status and presently Masters degree in Research Philosophy are academic accolades. Arun is as well affiliated with Jain University as a Research Apprentice (RA.)

Brisk-vibrant footwork- Symmetrical mnemonic patterns of the abstract and Expressions that speak literature and music are essential ingredients Bharata Natyam; Arun has imbibed all, amicably. Arun's approach towards the art form has thrilled and fascinated spectators, connisseurs and critics alike. Apart his dance, Arun is also a noted Cymbalist in the Carantic genre. A graded artiste of Doordarshan and ICE TV, Bangalore, Arun has further added to his skills’ in Caranatic Vocal and Veena from Vidwan. D Balakrishna and Vidwan. R Ramesh.
