Austin, Texas, United States
I am Sri Haresh and I have been in Austin for the last one year. I come from a small close-knit family based in Hyderabad, India. Soon after earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering in 2004, I began my professional career with GE Capital, India. At GE, I was given the opportunity to visit the USA to manage the transition of an IT project offshore to GE, India. During this visit, I built close relationships with my teammates and learned about the growing IT market, dynamic work culture, and better standard of living that exist here. These factors motivated me to consider a career in the USA, and the connections I made during my visit helped me get my first consulting job here. Since then, I worked with many Fortune 50 companies over the last ten years such as JPMC, Medtronic, JCPenney, CVS Caremark, and General Motors.
Apart from my professional life, I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle. I am a sports fanatic and an avid runner; I’ve run multiple marathons (9 full & 4 half), relay races (200 miles & 120 miles), and participated in several charity runs to help raise money for non-profit organizations. I played high school and college basketball, and I am part of two ultimate frisbee teams, a sand volleyball team, and a cricket team. In addition, I am a fitness enthusiast and I regularly practice Muay Thai. When time permits, I travel, hike, mountain bike, and go on motorcycle trips. I am also involved with social groups like Network of Indian Professionals (NetIP), Run for India, Austin Ultimate Frisbee, Friends for Miles Running Community, and Random Acts of Kindness.
I am excited to be a part of the vibrant TEMBA community and I look forward to working and learning with each one of you.
