Stefan Roever has a broad entrepreneurial, technology, and finance background. He is Founder and CEO of AIKON, an API monetization platform on the blockchain. Previously he founded and ran Genia Technologies, a next generation DNA sequencing company, which was sold to Roche for $350 million in 2014. He is an active private equity investor and a board member major investor in Peptilogics, a company developing antibiotics for multi-drug resistant bacteria. He was founder and CEO of Brokat Technologies, an encryption and banking software company. Brokat went public in 1998 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and on NASDAQ in 2000, where it reached a several billion dollar market cap. Stefan was honored with the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Germany. Stefan also is a two time award holder of Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Stefan's personal interests include sports and political sciences. He supports libertarian causes and likes a good debate, especially about his favorite subject of how technology can be used to free individuals from interference by the state.
