SRS CONVENT SCHOOL

SRS Convent School was established in 1993, by Shri Sumera Ram Subedar Education Society in the memory of late Shri. Subedar Major Sumera Ram Adhana.

He was a brave freedom fighter and so, was honored with Second World War. Born in 1897, in Tigaon village in Faridabad district of Haryana state, joined army after pursuing education, with the aim, of serving the great nation. His bravery inspired the government, to honor him with the M.C. (Mahavir Chakra), O.M. (India of Merit) and I.D.S.M. (Indian Defense Service Medal). In his later life, he carried the slogan Jai Jawan, Jai Kissan on the highest level, as a farmer.

Sumera Ram Subedar convent school was his deep insight, to educate the children of rural areas and to modify them, in such a way that they serve the country, in their best possible ways. To appreciate his thoughts, Shri Prem Singh Adhana, the younger generation of his family formed SRS Education Society and SRS school with the blessings of Mata Saraswati.
