Shashwat Samudra

Shashwat Samudra is a successful tech startups investors, with a specialty in cloud technology services. In the last 10 years, he has made early investments in startups that later attained billion-dollar valuations. Samudra’s success has a basis in knowledge, and a passion for finance. He developed a passion for finance at a young age and this saw him pursue a degree in economics and graduate with high honors. He then went on to pursue an MBA, further deepening his knowledge of finance and economics. After completing his studies, Samudra went to New York, and started a career in Wall Street, working for several private equity firms and hedge funds. It is in these institutions that he honed his skills on how to make strategic investments in startups. He then formed a fund focused on cloud technologies and moved to California, and channeled his energies on tech startups. Besides his work investing in tech startups, Samudra is also into philanthropy and is active in non-profits that help the homeless. In the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic when lockdowns were at their peak, he gave thousands of dollars to charities that were helping cushion the homeless. Samudra is also a family man and loves spending time with his 5-year old daughter.
