My professional background is that I am serving as an Indian Administrative Service officer, with 34 years of experience in governance, public service and policy making, currently at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. I have also completed two fellowships - Takemi from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Research from The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute.

I have successfully driven several initiatives at the cross section of public health, climate change and disaster management, skill development, administration and played a crucial role in drafting policies at both federal and state level. My work has primarily been in Maharashtra, however, I have also worked in Ministry of Women and Child and Home at federal levels and done two United Nations missions at international level, in Cambodia and Kosovo.

My key interests are in research, data analytics, public health, women and children, nutrition, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), public finance, innovation, start-ups and digitisation.

Post my fellowships, I have been working as Member, Advisory Council - Mumbai University and SNDT Women’s University, Adjunct Professor - Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi and Adjunct Faculty - Public Health Foundation of India.
