Hey there, I’m Sai Nudurupati. I’m a PhD student at Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engg., University of Washington - Seattle. I am studying how climate influences vegetation dynamics in semi-arid landscapes of southwest United States. I use numerical modeling to understand and hypothesize the influence of terrain characteristics, climate, and disturbance variability on competition between various plant species, and the resulting vegetation patterns. I am a developer of Landlab, a Python toolkit that can be used to expedite earth surface processes model development (landlab.github.io).

Apart from writing code and reading papers, I like playing badminton. I also enjoy hiking. I love watching cricket and American football (both college and NFL). My favorite sports teams are Indian cricket team, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Washington Huskies, Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
