Throughout my education degree I have been exposed to many new types of technology that I wasn't aware of before. Now that I have begun utilizing these technologies on a regular basis I have found myself using some more than others. Pinterest is one of my favorites so far, this website has everything for just about everyone!
For teachers this website is especially amazing, it is an online library of resources that have been used in a classroom, and therefore have been tested and seen to be successful. If you're looking for a thanksgiving craft for per-schoolers, all you have to do is search that, and hundreds of ideas pop up, need a new classroom management technique, type that in and hundreds of ideas are at your fingertips. Pinterest takes great ideas from other teachers and makes it easy to access, and the links required to make it successful in your own classroom.
As the saying goes, "There is no reason to reinvent the wheel," and this is exactly what Pinterest helps people to avoid doing, someone already has thought of a solution to the problem you may be having in your classroom, or had a great lesson plan for grade 4 social, there is no reason to spend countless hours to create your own idea when you can use someone else's and just make some small changes so that it works for your classroom.
Pinterest is an amazing resource, and one that I will be utilizing regularly in my future classroom.
