Pedagogy of Hope, written by Paulo Freire in the 1970s, describes the relationship between the educant and the educator in an oppressive relationship. Unfortunately, oppression still exists in the United States and the world. I spent twenty years in the financial markets perptuating oppression. I'm dedicating my remaining years on teaching critical literacy to the oppressed.
