Stacey Shopsowitz is an award winning upright & electric bass player. He studied with Dave Young (bassist for famed Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson) at the University of Toronto Jazz Program where he was the recipient of several scholarships in jazz performance.

Currently, Stacey's main squeeze is The St. Royals; "Toronto's undisputed kings of Motown and Soul". This spring he's working on recording projects with country artist Jesse Gold, rock/electronic artist Maccie Paquette, and hip-hop producer The Kount.

Stacey has performed across Canada & the U.S in venues such as Massey Hall, Koerner Hall, and The National Arts Centre. He's performed on TV via MuchMusic and Breakfast Television, and has been featured in print via The Canadian Jewish News.
