Stacey Burgay

Creative Producer, Artist, and Project Manager in New York, NY

Listen to my podcast

Stacey Burgay is a creative producer and artist living in New York City. She holds a B.S. in Film and Television Production from Ithaca College. In addition to being a maker, she has also produced short films, podcasts, curated community art events, and managed large-scale marketing campaigns for major brands and nonprofit institutions.

Stacey gravitates to the art of collage and mixed media because of their tactile nature and accessibility. Her first mixed-media artwork (a self-portrait made from plaster and photography on canvas) was exhibited at the Edward Hopper House in Nyack, New York, when she was 17.

Over the years, Stacey’s media of choice have included crayon, clay, sculpture, photography, film and collage. She's able to make a collage anywhere, with minimal supplies and space (a definite benefit for someone living in a tiny NYC apartment).

In her work, Stacey explores her connection with herself and with the world. As a documentarian and artist, Stacey is always curious about the world around her and allows her curiosity and emotions to guide her art practice and daily life.

When Stacey’s not working as a professional project manager, foraging for objects or collaging, you can find her planning trips inspired by her favorite movies and TV shows (such as Amélie and Game of Thrones), riding her bike to the best breakfast spot in NYC (C&B Cafe) or just spending quality time with her family (and incredibly cute dog, Gizmo).

Stacey also hosts collage parties that bring people together to experience the joy of collage.
