Stacey Stephens

Newcastle, NSW

Stacey is a qualified town planner with experience primarily in the private sector.

Prior to completing her degree in 2012 Stacey worked as an executive assistant and office manager in Perth, Sydney, London and Vancouver for a range of small businesses and large international corporations, primarily within the property development and finance industries. She has also worked for residential home builders, graphic designers, marketing and advertising and commercial construction companies.

She is currently a stay-at-home-mum, working part-time from home for a private town planning planning firm. She intends to return to work full-time by the end of 2015.

Stacey is very interested in place-making and community development and understanding how we interact with our surroundings, especially in an urban setting.

Stacey recently moved to Newcastle, NSW with her husband (who is a native Novocastrian) and 2 year old son and is on the lookout for new job opportunities, networking and meeting new people. It is an exciting time to be living and working in Newcastle with all the potential projects to come from the urban revitalisation currently underway.

She has just signed up to volunteer with Newcastle Now (http://www.newcastlenow.org.au/) to be involved with some of their placemaking programs around the city.
