Stacy Kaplan, Ph.D.,CCC-SLP
I am a licensed, certified Speech Language Pathologist and Professor. I completed my B.S. and M.S. at the University of Arizona and my Ph.D. at Northwestern University. I have served as professor and coordinator of the Speech Language Pathology Assistant Program at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL since the program's inception in 2000.
My research interests include but are not limited to swallowing and respiratory physiology, the development of functional swallowing in preterm and term infants, SLP service provision in the Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU), development of empathy in healthcare students, best practices in SLP/SLPA and health science education, and use of technology in health science education.
