Stefan Chumak

Hello, I’m Stefan. I. I am a high school teacher with the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) who teaches Grade 9-12 business and has taught Law and Cooperative Education. For the last few years, I have been teaching business studies and eventually want to get back into teaching Co-operative Education and perhaps become a department head.

I have taught co-op in many schools as a Long-Term Occasional teacher and students were grateful to me for getting them a co-op position because they helped them focus on a future and helped them gain new experiences and skills. Some students might succeed in the workplace instead of school.

By taking this course, it will give an opportunity to investigate new strategies and materials that I can bring into my classroom. Also, it will provide me an opportunity to collaborate with my colleagues from other boards. This course will get me one step closer to completing my specialist in Co-op Education.
