Several of her initiatives have involved programming designed for at-risk girls of color who have limited or no access to regular recreational or exercise programming; who have limited knowledge regarding proper nutrition; who are at increased risk for the development of secondary impairments as a result of sedentary and unhealthy lifestyles; and who have limited family support to help encourage and facilitate healthy lifestyles.
"My vision is to provide youth of color with access to holistic, wellness, and fitness-related resources that address prevention of disease, injury, and illness AND promotes an active connection between mind, body, and spirit for longevity of life."
