Stefano Erb

Stefano Erb is a finance professional and investor with experience across private credit, structured products, and capital formation at leading global financial institutions. His career has focused on how capital is structured, allocated, and distributed across institutional platforms, with particular emphasis on complex investment products and investor-facing strategy.

Stefano most recently worked at Carlyle AlpInvest, where he served as a Product Specialist within the Portfolio Finance and Credit Secondaries platform. In this role, he supported capital formation and investor relations for a range of private market and structured investment solutions, including rated note feeders, portfolio finance vehicles, and securitized products. His responsibilities involved close collaboration with investment, legal, and operations teams, as well as extensive engagement with institutional investors such as pensions, insurers, and asset managers. He contributed to several large-scale fundraising and structuring initiatives, including multi-billion-dollar commingled funds and complex securitizations, gaining hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of product development and distribution.

Earlier in his career, Stefano worked in leveraged finance at Bank of America Securities, where he focused on credit underwriting and transaction execution for corporate clients across industrial and consumer sectors. He began his career in investment management, working on institutional client management and asset allocation initiatives for global allocators, where he developed a strong foundation in portfolio construction, risk management, and long-term investment strategy.

Stefano holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and received an undergraduate degree in Management from a leading United Kingdom institution. Born in Washington, D.C. to Italian and American parents, Stefano is a trilingual speaker and was raised in an international environment that shaped his global perspective.
