Stefano Marconi

I am a Senior Executive; I have a Master University Degree in Engineering along with a Master of Business Administration (SDA Bocconi in Milan and Manchester Business School). I began my career as an engineer and then I moved to the commercial side of business, where I had jobs with constantly growing responsibilities until the General Management, job that I started more than 17 years ago.

I worked for 3 huge Multinationals (BMW, Honda and Trane) where I could complete my basic background to lead an organisation.

Afterwards, I was Managing Director of three small-medium sized companies, in two different industries (Automotive-electronics and Chemical-paints) and in two Countries (Italy and UK where I lived and worked for 3 years).

Now I am a free-lance consultant in management, organisation and strategy.

One of my strengths is the high speed I approach new businesses and understand markets rules, distribution channels and Customer needs and expectations; and then adapt as best as possible the company business model to meet them and play more effectively and efficiently in the business arena. Consequently, although the industry I best know is the Automotive, it should not be considered as a restriction.

Prior to being Managing Director, I worked for Car Makes companies, in the after sales business that enabled me to build the skill of listening to Customers and considering them the core of any business analysis and decision.

Available now either for interim or full time or just consultancy roles.

My relocations in Italy and UK makes me feel a citizen of the world or at least of Europe. I nowhere have particular roots. Therefore, I can relocate anywhere if necessary.
