I was born in Pescara and grew up between Milan, Como and Naples.

I graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan in nuclear engineering before starting his career in academia and later joining market research firm ACNielsen in Milan.

I wanted to be a nuclear physicist, but was discouraged by the tumultuous political climate of 1970s. So i became an Italian business tycoon, investor, and philanthropist.the vice chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), and the single largest shareholder of Walgreens Boots Alliance. I gave away 25 percent of my personal wealth to charity. And I also pledged to give away the rest of 25% this year 2019 to Individuals
