Stefan Wolff

Stefan Wolff is Professor of International Security at the University of Birmingham, England, UK. He holds a Masters Degree from Magdalene College, Cambridge, and a Ph.D. from theLondon School of Economics and Political Science. A political scientist by background, he specialises in the management of contemporary security challenges. He is a member of the Governing Council of the European Centre for Minority Issues and an International Associate of the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-determination.

Wolff’s publications to date include fifteen books and over twenty journal articles and book chapters. His Ethnic Conflict: A Global Perspective (Oxford University Press) is the first major treatment of the subject aimed at a broad general audience. He is the founding editor of Ethnopolitics, and an associate editor of Civil Wars.
