Dr. Stefan Zander is a research group leader and research scientist for the competence areas Knowledge Management and Semantic Technologies at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology.

Before joining the FZI in March 2013, he worked as a Research Associate and University Assistant in the Multimedia Information Systems' research group at the University of Vienna from 2007 to 2013.

During that time, he actively contributed in several national and EU-projects related to the domains of semantic Web-based information provision, mobile RDF data replication, and technology-enhanced learning.

Stefan holds one diploma degree and two master degrees in Computer Science, awarded by the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK, and the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg.

In June 2012, he received his PhD from the University of Vienna for his work on context-dependent RDF data replication on Mobile Devices.

His research interests cover the fields of context-aware computing principles, semantic Web technologies for mobile information systems, Linked Data, and mobile Augmented Reality.
