I love being a mom.

In fact my entire life has been spent in training to be the awesome mom I am today.

(oldest of 5 kids, toddler teacher, baby teacher, professional nanny, etc, etc.)

I am grateful everyday for:

My 10 year old that is SO incredibly amazing and unique, who challenges me every day, helping me to learn and grow as a mom and person.

My 7 year old who validates my talents and gives me a moment to breathe and laugh and snuggle.

My husband whom I love deeply and has put up with my energy and craziness for over 20 years and understands me to my core.

Why I started Baby Love Letters:

The first time I was pregnant I waited eagerly for the chance to fill in the perfect little pages and cute little photo boxes in my carefully chosen baby book. I wondered just what my son's first words would be and when he would get his first tooth or walk or stand.

Then he came and yeah not so much. He has about 2 “successful” pages in his baby book.

three years later, older, and wiser my 2nd baby was on the way and I upgrade - to the baby book that also has a memory box attached! needless to say, the box is full of cards and the book - empty.

this is not just my story - it's all of ours - empty baby books exist, just ask a friend with kids!

what will we tell them when they inquire about their first tooth or the very first time they met Great Grandma?

and when exactly did they learn to pull up - was it at 6 months…. or was that their brother?

and so I decided there was a simpler way to do this. to get to the finish line => to the personalized memories you can hold in your hand, handwritten sentiments that they would cherish when they were parents themselves.

I wish I could pull out my baby love letters, lovingly open each one, and read them with my boys. What a precious moment that could be, rooted in love, discovering their origin stories together, sharing in that deep feeling of connection to the people in their lives who have always loved them and always will.

so I hope you can and will share them with us all - #babyloveletters
