I’m Tate, journalist turned marketing and advertising pro, working in Kansas City as a connections manager at VML. In my current role, I help shape and execute social and digital strategies for Gatorade. Contrary to what my mom might think, no, I don’t get paid to sit and tweet all day.
In my previous life, also known as college, I wrote thousands of words for various outlets such as The Associated Press and Kansas City Star. I covered everything from Kansas State athletics to Olympic qualifying for soccer. Prior to college, I broke into the writing world covering video games for several prominent websites, including GamesRadar and GameZone.
I’m sports and Internet culture to the core, which has shaped who I am and what I bring to the table professionally. Mix in a good attitude and dedicated work habits, and I like to think I’m a worthwhile addition to any team.
