My current role as Medical Affairs, has incorporated Medical Science Liaison's functions in providing the medical services focusing in inflammation (Rheumatology, Gastroenterology etc). In the past years, I was also heavily involved in the CVS. My goal is to establish relationships with clinical and research leaders within Hong Kong including academic professionals, clinicians, pharmacists and other health care professionals by seeking collaborations that advance medical science, thus facilitating communication between the company's medical leaders and the local KOLs and to contribute to the development strategies for in-market and pipeline products. My external responsibilities are to provide clinical and research support for inflammation in Hong Kong and to enhance medical communication between the organization and inflammation experts and researchers in the field of rheumatology, gastroenterology etc. I support research development, and assist with the support of investigator initiated research (IIR) activities. I am a medical advisor to my commercial colleagues on the recent medical udpates in the respective therapeutic areas and ensuring all promotional activities are in line with the company strategies, and executed according to the corporate and industry standards, local laws and regulations. I have vast experience in the pharmaceutical regulations, including the Undesirable Medical Advertisement Ordinances (UMAO), HKAPI code of marketing practices and PhRMA code. Other than contributing my knowledge in oncology and inflammation in the medical community;I am also involved as a mentor and supervisor in developing the CUHK pharmacy students, and provided good experiences to the students in the pharmaceutical industry.
