Stella Matutina

• To spread the love of Jesus Christ, Fara Chi, General Superior of Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary, established the junior high school division of Stella Matutina Girls’ High School in July, 1963. In 1966, the senior high school division was established. Due to the nation-wide development of vocational education, the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery was established in 1973 (it enrolled its final cohort in 1990). To promote formal classical music education, Stella Matutina developed a comprehensive training program from 1974 to 2012. Throughout the decades, Stella Matutina has transformed into a nationally-recognized six-year secondary school for cultivating future female leaders.

民國52年(西元1963年)七月，天主教聖母聖心修女會會長祁志英修女本著傳揚基督的愛，創辦曉明女中。先創立國中部、三年後增設高中部，成為一個完全中學。民國62年(西元1973年)創立護理助產合訓科(於民國79年—西元1990年—停止招生)、民國63年(西元1974年)增設國高中部音樂班(於民國101年—西元2012年--停止招生)。經過數十年師生的共同努力，曉明已蛻變為享譽國內、培育優質女性人才的完全中學。

曉明堅持「全人教育」的辦學理念，致力於培育身、心、靈健全發展的曉明人，造就宏觀氣度的世界公民。

• “Sincerity,” “Kindness,” “Beauty” and “Sacredness” are school mottos. “The lord is love. Within His love, human life becomes richer and fuller” is the statement that guides all our nuns, teachers and staff to lead and educate students with love and by setting good examples. Thus, we believe that education is about “life leading life.” Our students are anticipated to grow strong and happy, find their own path and enrich their life under the loving and holistic learning environment.

我們明定「真、善、美、聖」為校訓，以「天主是愛，在愛內，活出更豐富的生命」為學校願景。修女及師長們以「愛」和「榜樣」帶領每一個孩子，將「教育」視為一項「以生命帶領生命」的神聖使命。期望每一個曉明人，都能在「愛」與「全方位學習」的環境中，快樂的成長，走出屬於自己的路，活出豐富的生命。
