Stella Murugi Mwangi

An Msc Environmental Science student at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest, Hungary, a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship awardee, and a Biochemistry graduate.

She is also a YALI alumnus with a keen interest in community development and has been involved in several community projects including winning a USAID grant for a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project she serves as the project lead.

Murugi has a passion for climate change mitigation and has been part of several environmental conservation efforts including clean-ups and tree planting. These have been a stepping stone in her Masters choice and she looks forward to doing more in climate change mitigation and catalyze community-owned projects that are geared towards environmental conservation.
