As a hoof care specialist, I help transition horses to barefoot, trim barefoot hooves, and help reverse hoof problems such as laminitis, founder and Navicular syndrome. I take the time with each client and horse to get to know individual needs and situations. I trim according to these unique circumstances and requirements.

If you’re a horse owner and you want help healing hoof health issues or need a good maintenance trim, you’ll benefit from my visits. I promote diet, nutrition, exercise, and training and freely offer my knowledge. I am also a Certified Natural Nutritionist.

When we have the opportunity to work together, you’ll notice my commitment and passion for natural healing for horses and better horse care. I had my first horse at the age of ten when I was growing up on Malcolm Island. When my mare was 21, she began experiencing hormonal-induced laminitis that progressed to founder. Three years later, it took her life.

Recognizing that modern domestic living conditions for horses were largely responsible for this happening to many horses, I vowed to help prevent and heal this condition. I am a certified hoof care provider, and I studied and apprenticed with other professionals in the field over the years. I am committed to learning, sharing what I learn, and doing this work for the love of horses and betterment of the horse world.

I live in the Comox Valley and primarily serve central Vancouver Island and surrounding areas. When I’m not working with other horses, I spend time with my mini white mule, a beautiful Canadian Gelding, and three dogs.
