Stephanie Duffy

I am a full-time public relations student, finishing my last year at Durham College. I am also currently interning at Brimacombe ski club in the Marketing and Promotions department. As I wrap up my academic career, I am looking forward to starting a 14-week internship with the girls at Duet Public Relations in Toronto.

While many of my classmates seem more sure of where they want to end up in their field, I am still trying to find myself – what I like and what I don't like. The skills I have learned are so transferable and I feel very well rounded. Because of this, I am ready to jump into any project and find out what area is the best fit for me.

I have a passion for music and the arts, a need for world travel and a love for good food. Though I can be serious at times, I try not to take life too seriously. I am young! I have so much life to live and many mistakes to make along the way. I take each one as a learning experience and try not to dwell on the negative.

Although I am nervous to be become a full-time "grown-up" in the working world, I am excited to take the next step in figuring out who I want to be, and to do it on my own terms.

Happiness is transient. It comes and goes like the weather. Fulfillment is what's important.
